You Can STILL Make This Your Best Year Yet!
Okay so the year is half gone, and there's another 6 months
to go.
Perhaps you've messed up the resolutions you made at the
start of the year and feel discouraged and disappointed in
yourself.
Or perhaps you're on track to achieving the goals you set for
yourself at the start of the year.
Whichever scenario describes you, I've got good news for you:
If you've made it to this half of the year, if you're still alive today,
then You can still make this Your Best Year Yet!
If you intend for the second half of this year to be better than
the first half, you're going to have to do things differently.
You've probably heard the saying that 'if you keep doing the
same things you'll keep getting the same results.' So if you
desire different results this year, you've got to do things
differently. If not, you'd qualify to be called 'insane'
according to Albert Einstein, who defined insanity as
'doing the same things but expecting different outcomes'.
So take each day at a time with thanksgiving and praise
to the One who's given it to you and then do what the rest
of this article says...
Here are 10 things you should be doing if you desire to see
your resolutions or goals manifest this year, if you desire to
make this your best year YET!
1. Know who you are.
Quit focusing on outward things, which are really reflections of
what goes on inside your mind. You are not your body. You are not
your possessions. You are a spirit being made in God's image. Your
body houses the real you. Your natural state is perfect health and
abundance. If your current (outward) reality does not reflect this,
it is because you have let your circumstances control your life.
Knowing and acknowledging who you really are, and the implications
of this Truth, and meditating on what it means, will put you in a
position to cause your physical reality to reflect your true inner
reality: perfect health, joy and abundance.
2. Define clearly what you desire.
Do not limit yourself here. I have not asked you to decide what you
think you can have or what you think you deserve or what your mama thinks
you should have. I am suggesting here, that you should state what
*you* would like to be, do and have, which you don't have right now.
Use your imagination - that's what it's there for. You
have an open cheque, so to speak. Fill it in with what you choose.
This is why you are told to 'Ask for whatsoever you desire...'.
Let that desire be clear in your mind.
3. Believe that what you desire is *already here*.
Everything in this world is energy. Energy cannot be created nor
destroyed, but can be transformed from one form to another - if
you took Physics classes you'll be familiar with this statement.
Well here's a real-life application of this law.
Everything you desire, everything you could ever possibly wish
for, already exists! It simply exists in intangible form, waiting
for to do what you need to do in order to change it to its
material version. You know how water can change from steam to
liquid to solid (ice)? Different forms, same substance.
Same thing applies to your desires. Believe this, and you're
fortifying your 'power positioning'.
This is why you are told to '...believe that you receive what you
ask for, and you shall have it...'
You will learn more about this and the other tips in this article
in the FREE newsletters Weekly Success Tips For Women
and Days of Success..
4. Practice daily gratitude for what you desire.
Being thankful for something before you receive it strengthens your
faith, and keeps your mind focused on the object of your gratitude.
Benefit: what you focus on is what you get (according to the 'Law
of Attraction'.). An attitude of gratitude also puts into motion the
Law of action and reaction - when you give thanks to God for already
granting you what you've asked for, you trigger a response from Him
towards you - 'whatsoever you desire'.
5. Practice genuine forgiveness.
Here's what we're trying to do: cause the thing you desire to be
attracted to you. Unforgiveness, grudges, malice, hatred, doubts and
fear are examples of things that cause resistance and block the flow
of that which you desire. So if you've got a grudge against someone,
or a feeling of resentment, even if they've wronged you, forgive them.
Do this for *you*. I love this saying "harbouring resentment or
unforgiveness against someone is like you drinking poison and waiting
for the other person to die." So true. The only person to lose in
this scenario is you. So just let go. Let them be. Let the blessings
have a f*r*E*E, unobstructed channel to flow to you.
6. Practice genuine love.
Love everyone, whether you feel like it or not. Treat everyone
exactly how you'dlike to be treated.
As Og Mandino puts it in 'The Greatest Salesman In The World',
when you meet or come across someone today, think to yourself
'I love you' - send everyone thoughts of love, whether or not you
know them. Then relate to everyone with genuine love. Not sure what
that means? Real love means treating others with kindness, patience,
respect, belief in the best, not envious, rejoicing when others do well,
not self-seeking, and thinking only good thoughts towards others.
Treat everyone this way unconditionally and your 'power positioning'
becomes the strongest it could possibly be.
7. Practice genuine detachment.
Don't be attached to anything or anyone. When you forgive and love
people, don't do it expecting them to treat you the same way in
return. Do it because it's in your best interest to do so. Do it
knowing that you will receive, though not necessarily from the ones
you've given to. Trust that God will see to it that you get well
compensated for everything you give.
If you're a business owner, I hope you see how this principle alone
takes away any fear or pressure you may feel when prospecting or
marketing your business.
If you're an employee, think how much more fun your job will be
when you give it your best shot, not for your boss to notice,
but because you know that God will reward you (with 'whatsoever
you desire'), simply because of the good seed you're sowing all
around you.
8. Practice daily sowing - Take ACTION.
Taking the right action positions you to receive what you desire and
believe you'll receive.
That's why it's important to know what you desire in the first place.
When you do, then you'll know which steps to take to help you get
there.
With your mind set the right way (see tips 1 to 7 above), you have a
solid foundation to base your actions on. The right actions, that is.
Note that the right action means doing the things that move you closer
to your goal, to the very best of your ability. Even if it's not
apparent how something contributes to your goal (eg your current job
may not have any immediate bearing to your desired goal), do everything
the best way you know how. When all your actions are successful, they
add up to a successful life.
Positive thinking is all well and good but you can think positive until
you get brain cramps or you turn blue, but if you don't back your
thoughts with the right words and the right ACTIONS, nothing happens.
9. Practice daily giving.
Give something of yourself everyday. Start each day determined to add
value to someone's life. Everything you give is a seed sown, and you
will reap it in multiples. It's a Universal Law - nothing you can do
about it:). If you desire financial abundance, be a regular giver to
those that are less fortunate, or to your church or other place of
spiritual support. Give, not because you expect back from the person
you're giving to, but because you know that the supply is limitless
and in giving you receive from God. And here's a 'secret': the
very act of giving, sends a message to your subconscious mind that
'I have'.
Remember, you attract what your subconscious mind dwells on.
So by being a habitual giver, your predominant subconscious mindset
is 'I have', and you attract more of that which you give. When you don't
give because you're afraid you won't have enough, you send the message
to your subconscious mind that 'I don't have enough', and you attract
more lack as a result of your fear.
Super tip: start your 'giving' habit by sending this email to at least
one person you know - this information may be just what they need.
10. Practice Proactive Health Maintainance.
Your body is the only one you've got. None of your goals matter if it's
in poor shape. Look after the temple you've been blessed with. One
remarkable thing about the human body is that anytime you treat it
the way God intended, it rewards you with an amazing degree of health,
energy, vitality (side effects: good body weight, incredible self-
esteem), and it displays the ability to heal itself as well.
So take care of your body. Treat it with respect. First become
health-conscious. Then follow that up with the right actions -
healthy, balanced diet; cellular nutrition with quality supplementation;
regular, moderate exercise.
Bonus tip:
Commit to lifelong learning.
Ever heard that 'leaders are readers' or
'earners are learners'? Both statements are true. Study personal development
material, study material about your chosen field of endeavour, study
the Bible, study, study, study. Spend quality time each day studying and
meditating on what you learn. You can only become a better human
being by learning and applying what you learn.
Think you need discipline to achieve what you desire? You bet you will!
But consider this: which price would you rather pay? The 'price' of
discipline, or the price of regret? Whatever 'discipline' you reqiure
is short-term, with long-term benefits, unlike regret, which lasts long
after the fact.
If you go through the above list again, you'll realize that the area you
need to discipline really is your thoughts. If you can control your
thoughts and keep them on the right things, everything else will fall
in place. So that's what you need to work on more than anything else
this year.
Go for it - you deserve it, and you can do it (refuse to think different).
Best wishes, and blessings to ya!

Where has the time gone?
That's the first month in the second quarter of the year 2009 almost gone.
I'm glad and grateful that I realize that whatever challenge one is facing, there are always more solutions available than there are problems. Remembering this keeps me grateful and optimistic.
If you're reading this, be encouraged to know that no matter how things appear right now, they can and will get better for you. This is a statement you can choose to accept and believe, or reject. Whatever you do with this statement determines whether it becomes your reality or not.
Neat, huh?
Knowing that you wield so much power between your ears.
Just something for you to think about.

Welcome!
a) The effects of your thoughts on your health
b) Nutritional medicine: the effects of nutrition on your health.
c) Exercise: the effects of physical activity (or the lack thereof) on your health
The human body has been designed to function in association with your mind. Thus your thoughts and beliefs play a role in your health.
Your body functions with fuel which comes from the food you eat. Thus what you eat plays a major role in your health.
Your body functions optimally when it is used the way you're supposed to use it. Regular moderate exercise, when combined with the right fuel and the right thinking patterns, makes up the 'formula' for true health.
These are the things I'll be discussing on this blog. Check back often. Leave your comments. Share your thoughts. Ask your questions. It's all happening here, folks, so come and play!
God bless ya!

Attraction is ...
This means, of course, that if the things and people in your life are not what you'd rather have, and you wish to change them, you should start by changing your thoughts, beliefs and expectations.
Don't be fooled into thinking that all you have to do is think differently and everything else will change. Thinking differently is most definitely a major part of the equation. What it does, among other things, is put you in a frame of mind to do the things that bring about the change you desire. If you do not then take appropriate action though, all your 'positive thinking, beliefs and expectations' would have been a waste of time and (mental) space.
That is one 'gripe' I have about the movie 'The Secret'. Yes it's fantastic in the way it explains the Law of Attraction. The visuals clearly depict the principle, which is very valuable. However, in my humble opinion, (unless they intend to feature a whole sequel devoted to the issue), it glaringly misses out emphasizing a vital connection between your thoughts and your reality: ACTION!
Even the Holy Bible, the greatest inspirational book and success manual in existence, says that 'faith without works is dead'.
You've got to back up your thoughts, beliefs and expectations with the right type of action. Be consistent with this and you will achieve your goals.
Now take this general principle and apply it to a specific challenge in your life.
Be consistent and persistent until you see the improvement you seek. You will attract it. You have to, because it's Law.
Blessings to ya!

It's not what happens to ya...
You see, nothing is really as it seems. Everything, rather, is really the way you perceive it to be.
The world around you is the way you perceive it to be. That's why two people can be in the same situation, yet experience it in totally different ways.
We tend to judge others by our own standards. We tend to complain when things are not the way we'd like them to be.
When you realize that you have the power to create your own world by choosing thoughts that reflect the reality you desire to see, your entire life takes a different direction.
This is not to say you should live in fantasy land. Rather, choose to seek the good in every situation. Seek it, and you will find it eventually.
I say this after being involved in a minor car accident about 3 hours ago on my way back from work. My head still hurts from the impact. Now I could be miserable about the whole event - yes it was most unexpected and thus I was initially shaken - but I choose to be thankful that things weren't worse than what happened.
So I'm good. And I'll see the good in this event when the right time comes.
Life is good, because I choose for it to be. I choose to see it as good. I encourage you to do so, for there is good in your life too, no matter what is going on in it.
Choose to respond in a positive, happy and abundant way, regardless of what's going on around you. When you do, you will attract more positive, happy and abundant experiences to your life.
Life is good, no matter what happens to ya. Believe this, seek the good in your life, and always be thankful to God that it's in there somewhere. The more thankful you are for the good things in your life, the more good will manifest in your life.
Think about that, and have a fantastic day.
Blessings to ya!

The good thing about trials...
Seriously, I do consider myself blessed. At first my reason for being thankful for the trials I am going through (apart from the fact that I'm aware I'm only going *through* them - 'this too shall pass' and all that...), was just the knowledge that every thing has a good side to it.
The Law of Polarity states that for every positive there is a negative.
I've known this to be true for ages, and this knowledge has helped me to stay positive and hopeful during hard times in the past, and has actually helped me become more aware of solutions to those challenges.
So when this fantastic year came with a bunch of trials, I started thanking and praising God for whatever good is hidden within the trials. Now this is a lot easier said than done, but once I persisted in doing so, the good started rearing its head - it became more apparent and easier for me to focus on it even more.
Remember, what you focus on expands. So whenever you're facing a challenge, rather than indulge in self-pity or focusing on what's bad about the situation, begin to express gratitude for the good in the situation, even before you know what that good is. Focus on the good and you will see more of it.
The more I've done this, the more I've become aware of another good thing about the experience of a trial. I've never thought of this before, but it's soooo true. Hope this revelation helps you as well: trials are good because of the sort of person you have to become in order to overcome them.
Wow.
No slackers here, that's for sure.
As I meditated on my current, personal, temporary challenge, I realised that I was being 'forced' to become stronger, more efficient, more organized, and so forth, as part of the process of overcoming it. I'm also exercising my 'lateral thinking muscles' more than ever before.
All this is making me a much better human being than I've ever been. Imagine the quality of service, imagine the value, I'm now able to deliver to my clients, customers and patients as a result of all this.
Truly, this year is turning out to be better than the last one already!
So I am truly, truly happy and grateful now for every trial I am facing, for the good within it, for the person I'm becoming as I overcome it, for the millions of lives that will benefit from my services as a result of what I'm going through right now.
Fantastic!
Ok, off the soapbox now :)
Make this a super-duper day now will ya.
Blessings to ya!

Get Ready For The New Year!
Tolerations clutter up your life, and just as you find it hard to work on a cluttered desk, tolerations make it hard for you to move forward.
So begin today to define those things things you've tolerated for a long, long time. Get rid of your mental clutter. Get rid of associations that hold you back. You don't have to do anything unless you wish to do it.
Don't know what you're tolerating?
Ask and you shall receive the answer. Ask yourself: what are the things in my life that I don't need/want? Who are the people in my life right now that I'd rather not associate with? Ask yourself similar questions and write down the answers that come to mind.
Then make up your mind to release those things from your life so you can move on.
Here's wishing you a safe, happy and prosperous New Year!

Just Get Started!
It presents with the 'patient' saying things like:
"When I have more time I'll start that project."
"When the kids leave home I'll enrol in that course."
"When I get more money, I'll go on a vacation."
You get the picture: "When ....then..."
This deadly condition is responsible for keeping thousands of people stuck in mediocrity, living lives they hate.
It keeps you from living a full life today.
It's a chronic condition - 'when' never happens.
Here's why: if you look closely at the way those sentences are phrased, you'll see that the underlying (subconscious) thought behind them is a negative one - one that denotes lack in some form or another.
Now, according to the Law of Attraction, you're constantly attracting that which you think about predominantly.
When you suffer from 'when-itis', you're not only ungrateful for the good things in your life right now, you're focusing on the fact that you don't yet have, or aren't yet doing something.
And what you focus on is what you'll get more of.
When-itis is a deadly disease.
The cure for this disease is simple: action!
If there's something you wish to do, get started on it immediately.
You've only got *now*. Don't procrastinate. Do it now. Otherwise you'll forever wonder what your life coulda been like.
Be thankful for the good things in your life right now.
Begin to do more good things, as your heart leads you.
I'll leave you with a quotation that has been widely attributed to Goethe. Dunno who actually said it, but its message sure rings true:
"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back-- Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth that ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now."

Service Comes First...
When things around you are contrary to your desired reality, it is important that you persist in holding onto the mental image of your desired outcome, for it is there that your physical reality is first created - in the garden of your mind.
Being a millionaire is something you ‘do’ by cultivating thoughts and images of yourself in a place of abundance. A powerful way to do this is to see yourself serving millions of people in ways that greatly benefit them. See yourself meeting the needs (according to your skills, abilities and passion) of millions. See the millions of grateful happy faces of people whose lives you have positively impacted.
You see, it is when you serve others that you prosper. As you focus on providing quality service to others, Natural Law dictates that you will be compensated adequately. Just ask Bill Gates, thanks to whose Windows software, millions of lives have been made easier in more ways than one. The service came before the compensation though.
So see yourself serving millions. See yourself doing this joyfully and effortlessly. You will prosper as a result, when you act according to your inner image or vision.
Have a fantastic day and God bless ya!

Clarity works!
That's dangerous!
As long as you remain vague or unclear about what you desire to achieve, you won't achieve it. It's as unwise as setting out on a journey with no clear destination in mind.
Clarity is power.
The moment you get clear about what you desire, the end result you hope to achieve, and you decide that you will achieve that outcome, you immediately notice an internal shift - a shift towards more power and ability.
Getting clear is the first step towards any goal you wish to achieve, no matter how big or small it is. You'll probably notice that any of the goals you've achieved so far have been for things you were clear and definite about right from the start.
So go on - get clear about your life and the direction you wish for it to go.
Take this first step. Write it down. The next step will become obvious to you once you've successfully completed the first step.
Have a superb visit.
Blessings to ya.

Choice, Choices, Choices
This statement applies equally to every aspect of your life right now: health, finances, relationships, you name it.
And don't tell me you were born with a genetic problem and so you are not to blame for it. Truth is, you are responsible for the way you see your situation. That is why you see people suffering from the same physical disability yet having different outcomes - some thrive and prosper inspite of it, others, having 'resigned to their fate', seem to have given up on life and therefore are in rather sorry states.
Scientists now know that, strictly speaking, there is no such thing as a condition that runs in families. What really runs in families is the perception of the situation, and the expectation to suffer from a similar ailment. The resultant state of health is due to that perception and expectation. In other words, your genes respond to the commands you give it!
That's why it's most important that you choose not to let your past experiences, your family history, circumstances or other outward influences determine the thoughts and images you hold in your mind.
Choose rather to hold images that reflect the vibrant, fit, toned, healthy body you desire. It is a natural law that as long as you hold onto an image in your mind with gratitude and expectation, that image will manifest physically. This works both ways - whether the image you hold is one of vibrant health or one of disease. Your choice. It's easier said than done, I know, but you can start where you are right now to bring about the change you desire. The journey of a thousand miles starts with one step, after all.
This applies as well to other aspects of your life, as I said earlier. We'll touch more on this later. For now, I suggest you think carefully about what you've just read and digest it until you really, really 'get it'.
Have a fantastic day!
Blessings to ya.

Don't Worry If You Don't Know 'How'...
Perhaps you know someone who thinks like this. Perhaps, you think this way?
This is a sure fire road to frustration and stagnation, friend. The 'trick' to easy and (relatively)effortless goal achievement is for you to get clear of your desired end result, and hold that image in your mind with full faith, gratitude and exectation that it'll happen.
When you do this, the 'how' will reveal itself to you.
Not before you do this, but after.
That is why the emphasis in the Success Seminars teachings is on the 'being' part of the 'Be -> Do -> Have' equation. Once you sort out the 'being' part, the 'how' or 'what-to-do' reveals itself to you, so that when you set out to 'do' what you need to do, you're doing the right thing (more often than not). It'll take practice of course but the important thing is for you to begin where you are and move on from there.
So if you're not yet 100% clear on what you desire, I suggest you stop what you are doing right now, find a quiet spot and answer that question for yourself. Create a vivid mental image of your desired end result, your ideal life. Experience that image with all your senses. Be grateful that the image is on its way to you. Fully expect it to come, and fully believe that it will.
Notice the shift in energy you experience when you do this, and write down all subsequent ideas of 'action steps' to take in the direction of your goal. Decide which of those steps to take first and do it as soon as possible.
You never again have to worry about 'how' your dreams will come true.
Know that they will, and the 'how' will make itself clear to you.
Have a superb week.
God bless ya!

Do Not Marvel...
Think about it. When you sow a seed, you don't expect to reap a seed, do you? No, you expect to reap a fruit or plant - something in a very different form to what you actually planted. Very often, the fruit of your labour also contains seeds you can sow to bring about even more abundant fruit and seed.
Similarly, when you plant a thought in your mind, and nurture it using techniques like visualization, affirmation and appropriate action, you reap the physical manifestation of the thought you've 'planted'. That's a different form to the initial 'thought-seed', yet it also has within it potential to generate further thought-seeds for your further abundance.
Learn to work with nature. The natural laws are in place for your growth and abundance. If you are not growing or manifesting abundance, chances are you are inadvertently violating one or more of the natural laws.
Thoughts are seeds. Plant good ones today, take care of them and you are sure to enjoy a good harvest.
Blessings to ya!

Success is a mind game...
You cannot be a success in life until you are first a success on the inside. You must see yourself succeeding in all you do, on the inside. You must believe in yourself and your capabilities even if no-body else does.
The beauty of all this is that your past doesn't (have to) dictate your future. Even if you feel you've lived a messed-up life up until now, you can, if you choose to, turn things around in an instant.
That instant is the moment you make the decision to think differently.
Once you begin to think differently about yourself, your life and the world around you, you will begin to feel different. When you feel different, you will act different. When you act different, you will see different results.
But it all starts in your mind. You see, the saying is true: Change your Mind to change your Life.
Have a fantastic day!
Blessings to ya.
